Ikumi Sawada
stained-glass craftsman
Ikumi Sawada was born in 1984, Japan. She has had strong passion for art since she was a child. Ikumi left Japan for the United States in 2003 to study at the Univercity of Nebraska at Kearney to gain more broadview for her life. After returning to Japan in 2011, her artistic breakthough occured at encounter with Stained Glass. Since then, based on ''the day -play concept store-(Sendai-city, JP), she is engaged in making orders from all over the country, and making original works, proposing ''new stained glass that blends into everday life, not assertive design'' and new values that are close to people.
